The BXJ05 Basic series balanced 3-pin XLR female to 3.5mm stereo mini JACK audio link cable featuring high quality XLR connectors,  and the ultra flexible microphone cable. 

It is suitable for connecting a 'balanced output', into a 'stereo input', therefore a different type of wiring is required to ensure the signal from XLR output, is taken to both the Left and Right channels of the stereo input.

Also for Balanced Mic to HD Video Camera connection, Smaller HD Video Cameras often have a Stereo mic input, and if you need to connect a balanced microphone signal to the camera, a mono to stereo cable is handy so the audio is recorded to the LEFT and RIGHT audio channels.
